Cacophony
In the cacophony of life right now, in the chaos and confusion of Covid19, in the isolation and loneliness that weighs on us all right now, I want to remind you that you are loved. In our minds we often ground our sense of feeling loved in a place of what we do and what we offer. I do therefore I am loved. I am needed therefore I am loved. I want to remind both you and I that we are not loved because of what we do, by what we give, or by what we offer society. You are loved for the very unique amazing person that you are.
Yes, we are all a mess. Yes, we all falter and fail. Yes, we are ridiculous and annoying at times, but no matter what you are loved. The way you think is not a burden. The way you speak is not an annoyance. The way you laugh brings joy. The way you are is a gift. As we press into this reality that we are a loved, the more we are able to love others.
The more we receive the unconditional love that God offers everyone, including you and I, the more we can give that same love away. Perfect love casts out fear. Perfect love demolishes lies. Perfect love heals and restores. The Perfect Love our Heavenly Father lavishly gives, invites us in and gives us a place to know what it is to be fully loved, to be fully known, and to be fully seen. I am praying that in this time of isolation you and I would know the deep love the Father offers us all.
